Same old

Not a whole lot to report these days. I spend my days going through my stuff, sorting out what can be tossed or given away, and then repacking what I keep into boxes to be mailed to Master's house. But I usually also get good time with Master during the day while Mom's at work.

Mom and I went out to dinner last night with my brother. There's a new Cheesecake Factory that opened a few minutes from him, so we went there. We had a good time, which was nice. Brother still doesn't have a job, but he seems to be in good spirits. I told Mom on the way home that while it may sound bad, he seems to generally be in better spirits and a better mood since not having that job. She agreed. I hope he stays this way even once he finds another job.

Are you ready for some football?

I'm going to see the Indianapolis Colts!! Mom and I are going to a game in a couple weeks with some friends. It's her (very) early birthday present to me since she doesn't expect that she'll be with me when my actual birthday rolls around. I'm so excited!!

While we're on the subject of football, I had a very odd dream a few nights ago. There was a lot to it, but part of the dream was that Brian Urlacher was trying to woo me away from Master. I am apparently so into the Bears this season that I'm dreaming about them.

Answers

The waiting is over! Your questions will now all be answered. You all can now stop holding your breath and get on with your lives! After reading this post, that is. :)

Slade asked: Are you and Master in to kinky stuff?

I asked Master that question. His response was "not yet." I'd have to say I agree with him. The fact of the matter is that we get so little time together in person, that we're usually pretty happy just having "regular" sex! There are a number of things we want to try, but just haven't had the chance yet. So check back again on that question in a year or two. ;)

Bearette queried: How long have you been with Master?

I've known Master for a little over two years now. When we first started communicating, I didn't think anything would happen between us, so we were in touch for a few months before I decided to give him a real chance. So as far as us being a couple, it's been a little less than two years. The first time we met in person was about a year and a half ago. Since we don't have an anniversary of a first date, and neither of us remember exactly when we really decided to give it a go, that's the "anniversary" that we tend to celebrate.

What's your favorite vegetable?

I think I'd have to say raw carrots. The truth is, I'm not much of a veggie person. I like fruits a lot more than veggies.

Roxanne wonders: What's your favorite position?

You know, I had a feeling that was coming. lol Keeping in mind my answer to Slade - that Master and I have only had so much time together - I'd have to say my answer is... doggy-style. Although I'm more on my forearms than on my hands. So far, that's the only position that will make me orgasm from just sex. And if that's too much information, well, too bad. :P

How did you meet Master?

He and I met through Collar Me, a site that's mainly for D/s relationships. There's every kind of flavor of D/s there, a lot of them more "extreme" than I care for, but thankfully, my flavor found me! :)

Where do you see yourself in 10 years (work and personal life)?

In ten years... I want to be in Edmonton, living with and married to Master, maybe in a different house than the one he's in now. His daughter will likely be out of the house by then, the boys may or may not be, depending on what they're doing and which parent they're living with. I see our relationship being stronger and deeper than right now, and maybe even what I can imagine right now. I think we're continuing to grow and change as a couple and individuals, hopefully mainly for the better, and despite bumps in the road - because we all know those happen! - we are still completely committed to each other. Professionally? I have no frickin' clue. Since I don't know what kind of job I'll be able to get in Edmonton, at least first, I don't even pretend to know what I could end up doing ten years from now.

What was the most exotic vacation you ever had?

That's a tough question for me. I got to travel to some really cool places during my semester in England: Spain, Italy, Scotland, & Ireland being the main ones. I loved every place I went! It was all so amazing to me, and I really enjoyed it. The other exotic trip I took was going on a week long cruise with Jiffy, her mom, and some of their extended family. It was right before I first left for college and we had a blast. There were stops in Mexico, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica. Despite getting sunburned - of course - I had so much fun!

What are your feelings leaving the country you were born in?

I don't think this is as difficult for me as it might be for some others. For one thing, spending 4 months in Europe helped, and even after I graduated from college, I looked at possible going abroad to work for a while, whether it was working for a company in Europe or teaching English somewhere. So this isn't the first time it's come up for me. Also, I knew from the start of my relationship with Master that, if we were ever going to be together in person, it would mean me moving there to be with him. So I've had a couple years to get used to that idea. I also think moving to a different country would be harder if it were on a different continent, spoke a different language, and was a completely different culture. So, overall, I'm mainly just excited to get there and finally start my life with Master, and leaving my native country doesn't really bother me.

What do you miss most about your dad?

Tough one. I think I just miss the person he was. He was honest and genuine and got along with pretty much everyone, I think because he always found a way to relate to people. He also had an easy way about him and a great sense of humor that always put people at ease. Maybe I just miss having him to look up to. (Thanks for making me cry, Roxanne. lol)

Liz asked: What's your favorite thing about yourself?

The way I can make people laugh. I especially like making my mom laugh, because I think she needs it. :)

What's your favorite thing about Master?

I love his patience and I love how even-keeled he is. That's why I call him my Rock. :)

How did you come to learn about Master/slave relationships? What do you find most appealing about it?

Back in the day when I first got my own computer, right after college and before I had a job, I would spend time in chat rooms, one in particular that was "adult" in nature. Even though the room itself wasn't D/s, there were people there who knew some about it and dabbled in it. That's where I first heard about such relationships. From there I just talked to people and investigated on my own. One of the better sites to learn about such things is The Castle Realm site. The name might be a little cheesey, but there's some good info there. The more I found out about D/s relationships, the more it made sense to me. A real D/s relationship isn't just about kinky sex, it goes much deeper than that. To me, these relationships require a deeper trust between the two people involved than what is usually found - or seems to be found - in "normal" relationships. The truth is, a submissive is the one with the power in a D/s relationship because it is their choice to submit. (I, personally, make a distinciton between submissives and slaves, but that's a whole different ballgame that I'll go into some other time.) What it comes down to is that Master and I have cultivated, and continue to cultivate, such a deep trust that he can make any and every decision for me, because I can trust that whatever decision he makes is the best one for me and for us. Being the Dominant in a relationship isn't just about bossing someone else around. It means you're responsible for the other. This is kind of a funny example, but if any of you have ever seen the Dog Whisperer, there are certain ways that D/s remind me of how that works. The submissive is happier knowing and feeling the Alpha is in charge. (That's a really long answer, so I hope at least some of it makes sense.)

So there are the answers! If anyone has follow-up questions, especially about this last one, feel free to ask. I enjoyed all these great questions! :)

Here

I'm back in Ohio, and the weekend was good. You all asked some great questions! I'll have the answers for them soon. In the meantime, here's a picture of me from several years ago. It was taken in Florence, Italy during spring break my junior year of college when I spent a semester in England.

Questions & Quote

I'll be packing up my computer tonight to leave town tomorrow morning. Back to Ohio! So, with being on the road and spending part of the weekend in Cincinnati, I probably won't be able to blog again for a few days. So, to borrow from Roxanne, this is time for reader participation! It's your chance to ask me any question or questions you want. That's right. That really in depth personal question you've been wanting to get answered but didn't know how? This is the time. That off the wall, completely wacky thing you were curious about? Here's your chance! I have the right to not answer any questions, but to be honest, that's not terribly likely. So leave your questions in the comments and I'll answer them when I'm in the Eastern time zone.

Thoughts for the Day

Holy Schnikies! I don't know if any of you watched Monday Night Football last night, but that was one of the most insane games I've ever seen! Of course, I enjoyed the ending because the Bears managed to win. Or, more appropriately, the Cardinals lost the game and gave the Bears the win. I also enjoyed watching this morning the replay of Dennis Green totally blowing up in the press room after the game. Way to show class, Coach. But at least the Bears are still undefeated! :)

Note to all stupid men: do NOT, EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ask a woman when her due date is if you are not 100% sure that she is pregnant!! We have a new lady here at work who's going to be taking over a lot of what I do here (blogging not included). She's in her mid-30's and has a 19-month old son. She's average sized, I would say, but the blouse she wore yesterday gave the appearance of a little pooch kind of thing going on. The guy in the cube next to me made the horrible mistake of asking when her due date is. Ouch. I know he feels horrible about it, and should've known better. He was telling me this morning that he won't even be able to look her in the face any more. But I know that really hurt her too. So men, or stupid people in general, please don't ask that question!!

Speaking of work, my last day is this Thursday. I'll drive back to my mom's on Friday and spend part of the weekend in Cincinnati since my one uncle, aunt, and cousin will be in town from Cali for a few days. They don't visit very often, unfortunately. My cousin - my youngest cousin - will be 4 in December and I've only ever seen him once! So I'm looking forward to spending a little time with them.

I just hope I can still watch Bears games in Ohio.

Shoot the Moon

Last weekend I started - and finished - a book a really liked. Incidentally, it wasn't the book that made me cry. I read Shoot the Moon by Billie Letts, who is also the author of Where the Heart Is. I would definitely recommend this book. I thought it was sweet, intriguing, and I enjoyed reading it. I started reading it Saturday evening and got about half way through before it was time to go to bed. But then I couldn't sleep, partly because I wanted to know how the book ended! So I got up and finished reading! If you like a good fiction novel, I'd say go for it! :)

My Little Girl

This song makes me cry every single time I hear it. It's sung by Tim McGraw, and for those of you who aren't country music fans, you can read the lyrics below.

Gotta hold on easy as I let you go
Gonna tell you how much I love you though you think you already know
I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm
You’ve had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born

You beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on take on this old world but to me you know you will always be
My little girl

When you were in trouble that crooked little smile would melt my heart of stone
Now look at you I’ve turned around and you’ve almost grown
Sometimes your asleep I whisper I love you in the moonlight at your door
As I walk away I hear you say “daddy love you more”

You beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on take on this old world but to me you know you will always be
My little girl

Someday some boy will come and ask me for your hand
But I won’t say yes to him unless I know
He’s the half that makes you whole
He has a poets soul
And the heart of a mans man
I know he’ll say that he’s in love, but between you and me
He won’t be good enough

You beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on take on this old world but to me you know you will always be
My little girl

I love the cold, just not today

It's gotten quite chilly here in Chicagoland over the last couple days. It was snowing when I left for work this morning! It hadn't been snowing long, but it was coming down pretty hard, so that I actually had to get out and clean off my windows. Of course, seven weeks ago when I was quickly packing up to drive to IL from OH, thinking that I wouldn't be here any longer than 6 weeks, I left my warm winter coat at my mom's. She was going to get it dry cleaned for me the next time she had stuff to take to the cleaners.

I missed my coat this morning.

I brought a cardigan with me, but I wore a hooded sweatshirt this morning. It's warmer and covers more, so I said, "Screw being completely professional looking! I want to be warm!" Not that anyone here cared anyway. It's casual enough, I don't think anyone really noticed.

I bought my plane ticket to Edmonton this morning!! I'm trying not to get too excited, because there's no guarantee they'll let me in. But I'm still excited! I'm not specifying exactly when I'm going on here because I'm just a wee bit paranoid that some Canadian immigration nazi is going to see it and somehow manage to screw me over. But everyone can keep their fingers crossed and say a little prayer around the middle-end of November! :)

Holiday Monday

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! Happy Columbus Day!

My last day at work (again) is next Thursday. My time here has gone really quickly. When I first got here, I was dreading having to go back to my mom's when I was finished. Now I'm excited about it. The difference is that now Master and I have a plan! I'll be buying a plane ticket next week. I can't wait!!

The Bears are still undefeated!! Yea!! :)

Buy a Bagel, Save a Breast

I love October for many reasons. One reason is because, in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Panera Bread has a special bagel for the month. They have a Pink Ribbon Bagel! It's sooo yummy!! And, a portion of the money from each bagel goes to breast cancer research charity things. So may I suggest that if you have a Panera near you, go and get some Pink Ribbon Bagels! :)

My Subconscious Needs to Get Laid

I had quite a dream last night. I don't remember all the specifics, but it involved an old friend of mine, Adam. He and I were pretty good friends for a while; I even called him one of my "big brothers." I haven't seen Adam in several years, although it was his parents that Mom and I went out to dinner with when I was there at the beginning of August for my class reunion.

In this dream last night, for whatever reason, I decided that I was going to give Adam a blowjob, as a nice surprise. I knew he'd be surprised because he would still think of me as little church-going Suzy, as far as he knows, still virginal and innocent. And while I don't consider myself some kind of BJ expert, I knew he'd enjoy it.

So, somehow it came about in the dream that Adam was napping on a couch on his back, oddly enough, without any pants on. So I laid down between his legs, kind of snuggled in between them... like I often do with Master. And once I got up close and personal with his penis, it was the perfect size and shape... just like Master's is.

I don't remember beyond that. I was kind of surprised about the dream when I remembered it this morning. And, yeah, a little horny too! You know a girl needs to get laid when she's dreaming about her Man's penis! ;)
