Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city.
-- George Burns

It's a lot like nature. You only have as many animals as the ecosystem can support and you only have as many friends as you can tolerate the bitching of.

I haven't blogged a lot lately. It just seems like the main things I could blog about - Master and work - I don't really feel like blogging about. Things are mostly good at work, although some of the drama there is starting to get to me a little. It's being dealt with, and I'm hopeful that it'll resolve itself, but I'm not confident that it'll happen. So we'll see.

Master and I have been up and down a lot, and unfortunately it's mostly down. And I can't bear to write about it. It's like admitting defeat or failure, and I can't do that. I'm not ready to do that. I just wish I was confident that this will work.

Said to me today by a female coworker:

"I call this copier a little whore because she likes to have her drawers opened."

I have a cold. I stayed home from work yesterday because my throat was feeling quite swollen and sore, although it doesn't feel too bad now. Now it's more in my head. It's all stuffy and I have a headache. Joy. I just hope I feel mostly better by Monday. I've already been told that if I'm sick, I should stay home so that I'm not passing it to other people at work. And that's why I stayed home yesterday. But I'm still new enough that I don't want to have to miss two days, you know?

So here's hoping it's mostly run it's course by Monday.

Handicapped Cowboys Only

I took this picture at the Kmart in Great Falls. (I waited til the morning of Labour Day on our way out of town when no one was there so no one would think I was insane for taking a picture of a parking spot.) This cracks me up!

Don't Work

My mom is really starting to tick me off. As in, we agree to a time for our weekly phone call, I call, and... she's not there. This happens often enough that it's not unusual. And that's why it's starting to tick me off.

In other news, it's Labor/Labour Day weekend!! Master and I are leaving in the morning for one of our little trips to Great Falls, Montana to stock up on all the goodies that we can't buy up here. I'm really quite looking forward to getting out of town and having a change of scenery. I'm also looking forward to having all those things I haven't had in a while, like Diet Pepsi Lime. It's an eight hour drive to Great Falls, so I'm really glad we don't live any farther from the border than we do! We're going to drive down tomorrow and drive back on Monday.

I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend!!
